Starting Strength 20KG Bar

Texas Power Bars' customer service provided quick answers and delivery was fast as well, with only a few days between order and delivery. The barbell itself feels amazing; it is beautiful and feels great in my hands. I specifically looked for a barbell with a 28.5mm diameter with a center knurl for squats. The knurling is perfect for me, as it is a blend of aggressive and non-aggressive. It won't tear my palms apart but it'll definitely feel firm on heavy lifts. And while it does cost $329, one pays good money for good quality. I see myself using this barbell for decades and I doubt I'll ever need to buy another barbell!

Order was delivered quickly. Good initial impression of the bar with using it for about a dozen lighter work outs. Negative is that one of the sleeves doesn’t rotate as smoothly as the other with somewhat of a rubbing noise. It is a bit disappointing as the one side is really smooth and the other isn’t….impression is somewhat of a negative in quality. I had sent a message to Texas Power Bar where they asked me to send a video….I sent a video and hope to hear back.

Bar is well made and good for all lifts at lower weights. If you are just starting out and don’t know which bar to select, make the decision easy and just pick this one.

Starting Strength 20KG Bar

The knurling on this bar is the best I've ever felt. Not agressive whatsoever but grips better than my rogue Ohio power bar, better than my American Barbell, it's way gripper than my Texas deadlift bar. I wish they had this knurl on the texas deadlift bar.

Also the collars help clear the uprights on the starting strength rack. I used to hit the uprights with my other bars on squats, not a problem anymore.

It's a gorgeous and very functional bar. A worthy investment. The knurling alone makes this bar the best bar you'll ever own.
