Center knurl

When I started lifting weights with Olympic bars back in the 1960’s, I noticed that there was hardly any grip. The knurling on these bars was so light when the bars were new, that now years later they were almost slick. The sleeves were held on to the bar with a threaded end cap and the inside collars were held in place with a set screw. Each sleeve consisted of three pieces.

The Goal
was to create a bar that would have and keep a better knurled grip. A bar, whose sleeves wouldn’t slide in to the center. A maintenance free bar.

The Result - The Texas Power Bar

Proudly Made in the USA Since 1980. The shafts are center less ground, demagnetized and oiled to the max before shipping to Texas. Once at our production facility, we machine and then knurl each shaft to create a grip that is still the best in the industry. Texas Power Bars have different finishes available including black zinc and chrome plating. The sleeves are are available raw or chrome plated.

Big tensile strength numbers sound very impressive and we have them but, the proof is on the platform. Hundreds of state, national, international and world powerlifting records have been and continue to be set and broken on the The Texas Power Bar.

Great quality product at a great price

Bought 2 bar's one original power bar and one American bar and both look very good and I had to really look hard to find the blemish on both. It's just cosmetic and the bar's theme self work just fine and I'm vary happy with the purchase.

Bought it to abuse it, but it's too pretty

As soon as I saw the email about the blemished bars, I jumped on it. My intent was/is to use it for rack pulls, knowing that there's an increased risk of bending the bar if I screw up a lift. With the discount, I wasn't going to worry about it like I would had I been using my Texas Power Bar.

It took us a day or so to actually find the blemish, a minor finish issue on one of the collars that we had to look hard to find; otherwise it looks just as good as my TPB did when it came out of the tube a couple of years ago. However, I didn't buy this for the looks, as I did intend on abusing it. But that black zinc coating on the shaft? I may just swap my plans and use the TPB for the rack pulls.

Very good product!

I am newer to weightlifting, but for the last 6 months I have been using a cheap bar from China I was given. It has gotten me by, but it's difficult to keep a grip on due to it crappy coating and nerfed nurling. It is also dangerous because it has a slight bow to it, which causes it to spin in your hand when it is positioned wrong. The All-American bar couldn't be any more different! It is perfectly straight. Bares the weight easily and practically sticks to my hands. I immediately boosted my pr using it. Even being newer to this method of training, the quality differences are obvious. I cannot think of a single thing that would make the new bar better after having used it a month, I definitely plan to come back to this company for future purchases. I will also note, that I had to look very closely to see where the blemishes were on the bar. None of them compromised the seal provided by the finish or the function of the product. In fact, I doubt the average user would even notice them unless they were encouraged to search for them. This seems to speak the high standards set forth by Texas Power Bar.

I bought an all American bar years back, and now saw this on sale and couldn't resist buying another!
