The latest and greatest generation of the Texas Power Bar — built with the same aggressive knurling and unmatched durability that made the Original the most iconic powerlifting bar in history, now upgraded to a 29mm 200k tensile strength steel and re-engineered to meet modern USPA and IPL competition specs. Handbuilt in Texas from our stiffest 44 lbs / 20 kg, 29mm diameter shaft to date and featuring smooth, maintenance-free bronze bushings, thinner collars, a 5" center knurl for increased squat stability, 16" loadable sleeves, single knurl marks, and measuring 86.5" in length. Backed by industry-leading warranties and proudly carrying the founder and former powerlifter Buddy Capps’ legendary stamp of approval. If the Original Texas Power Bar has been your bar of choice for years, this 29mm 200k tensile strength upgrade is a no-brainer. *USPA & IPL APPROVED

It’s built to outperform and outlast, continuing the 45+ year Texas legacy of relentless grip and maximum stiffness.

Competition Platforms: USPA & IPL Approved, forged to perform under pressure. When the lights are on, this bar gives lifters—men and women—the consistency and confidence to hit every PR attempt. Its rigidity and platform-ready feel allow lifters of all sizes and genders to train with the same intensity and confidence they’ll need on meet day. The 7th Gen bar improves on the Original with a more precise center knurl, longer sleeves, and stiffer steel, ensuring optimal performance under repeated heavy loads.

Military & First Responders: Strength is non-negotiable. Male and female lifters alike rely on the durability and consistency of this bar for the most demanding programs. The 7th Gen 29mm Texas Power Bar outperforms the Original in stiffness, feel, and federation compliance—built to handle everything from heavy training cycles to maximum-effort PRs, session after session.

29 mm Texas Power Bar!

This is a fantastic bar. The aggressive knurling gives a good bite for a tight grip. I love this bar better than my Ohio bar. The tungsten cerakote is a sweet color too. Thanks for making this color available for the 29 mm Texas Power Bar.

I have a saying for the bar I purchased.....
I literally walk the bar on my shoulder, with my gym bag hanging off the other shoulder into my Gold's gym that I'm a member of, every Tuesday and Friday. The group that I work out with enjoy our chest day immensely. This bar outshines anything in the gym and it is just that important to our training. Although it's mine, the group has said it's actually ours...and yes, I will agree with them. I take it home after each session. I would actually buy another one to leave in the gym, if I thought I could trust it there, lol. I'm looking to purchasing an approved competition deadline bar and the Texas bench bar. I believe i made a good decision between the Texas bar and the Rogue Ohio bar. This bar is truly worth what I received.
Thank you to the Texas Bars family.
