Awesome bar! Love the aggressive knurling and general fit and finish. The grab bag aspect of the blem and close out bars are cool too. I ended up with a very handsome black zinc and chrome collared example. I’ll be getting another TPB in the future. If you’re on the fence BUY BAR!
I am very happy with this bar. The quality is outstanding, and I particularly love the knurling. This is the perfect knurl, still quite aggressive, but very sticky, and the grip is amazing. I also find the 27mm shaft to be excellent and provides the ability to really wrap your hand around and use your grip more. Lastly, I love the additional rings; it is strangely satisfying to have more variety, and they are spaced exactly as I would have designed them. I think I am hooked on the Texas Power Bars now. Will be buying more.
I just received my new Texas fat axle bar, it is beautiful. I would’ve posted a video of me opening the box, but I didn’t want to show everybody how much of a weakling I am , I fought the wrapping for almost 10 minutes. Very well packaged. I thought it was packaged a tube inside of a tube ,no the first tube is thick enough. You actually have to fight it to get it off there and it doesn’t have the cheesy plastic ends it actually has metal ends, the bar itself is absolutely beautiful, very well built, everything that it is advertised to be! cosmetically the coding is beautiful. I got the red … I thought it was hot.🤣The weight is really nice, the knurling is nice, sidenote, I wish it had been a little more aggressive, but it’s really good, the rotation on the sleeves is very smooth…. all in all 10 for 10 for the rating of this bar , after I pulled it out , out of the tube I had to play with it , obviously …so I did two sets of 12 military press sitting in my chair. I see this being a very, very nice bar and a very, very beneficial bar to my collection. Texas Power bar will be my new go to bar place , as I’ve said before I wish I had discovered this company before I bought all the other bars I have. I am fairly confident that these are the original OG’s of bar makers and everyone else copied them ! I’m gonna change the subject here and talk about the customer service. These guys are phenomenal!!! a cut above the rest. If you have a problem, message them , they will message you back , there is no waiting for days on end. I sent a text on a Saturday night and got a response back the same evening. I had a problem with my order. They changed it corrected it and sent it. My bar was actually backordered. I thought it was gonna be a couple of weeks . but it turned out. It was only a week or . The waiting part …was with the shipper and that has nothing to do with the company , that has to do with the shipper themselves. All in all the company is fabulous. Chad and Ben were an abundance of help very knowledgeable very professional. I would definitely rate the customer service the best in the industry… of all the customer service people I’ve dealt with through various companies …and I assure you I’m not just blowing smoke here …I’ve dealt with REP, Bolt Fitness, Fringe Sport, Bells of Steel, XMARK, Loeft, Standard Barbell, Philosophy sport… just to name a few, all the customer service reps were professional and knowledgeable, except for one which I’m not calling out anybody in particular, but once again, Texas Power bar reps are the best! EVER!!! if you do not buy a bar from these people, you’re the one that’s missing out, I have over the past six months bought approximately a dozen bars of various shape, sizes, weights, etc. etc. this is definitely the best bar I’ve purchased. I love this bar. i’ll even go as far as saying I love this company. They produce a fair quality product. I’ve already got several bars put up in my wish list for future purchases., the customer service is way above the rest and that’s a big deal in buying anything knowing that you can call somebody and talk to them and it’ll be resolved not to be put on a waiting list or to be called back a day or two later, that means a lot in today’s industry…. so in my ending up this review, I give Texas Power Bars five stars for their product (Texas fat axle bar) five stars for their customer service. Five stars for their shipping department and five stars for their packing. Excellent company.! I’m gonna reiterate if you don’t buy from this company you’re the one that’s gonna miss out …you’ll regret it. Trust me on this.! and yes, I am a loyal and humble customer to this company from now on.
Purchased using fsa money, and the process was simple and easy. Once I received the shipping notice, the bar was delivered in three days (quick!). The bar is high quality, appealing to look at, and great to use. The aggresive knurling is a game changer for me. Very happy with my TPB.

My official new go to bar for all lifts, accept for deadlifts. The bar has all the qualities of the original Texas power bar, with unique collars that are in-between the width of the OTPB and the width of the 29mm TPB. I bought it for curls, and squats, but find it works great for bench as well. What it does differently than other power bars is it distributes the weight more evenly throughout the lift. Why it's better than other axle bars is that it has knurling/Texas power bar knurling, rotating sleeves which takes stress off of your shoulders, and it weighs a solid 55lbs. I would recommend this bar to anyone whether bodybuilding, or power lifting because it does both well. I think it builds strength and muscle quicker and healthier because it disbursts the weight more evenly.
Not only is this a great bar, The customer service from TPB was exceptional. we needed a bar replacement ASAP and they got it out to us within the week. very happy with our purchase.
This is the best axle bar I've ever used. The 2" diameter makes it challenging but will definitely get stronger. The knurl is perfect and the bar is well made. Get one, you will not be disappointed.
Great quality from the cerakote application to the sleeves and collars. Feels great in my grip. I ordered on New Year’s Eve, and received it 8 days later. Pretty good shipping time in my opinion.
Recently purchased the All American Bar along with the magnetic clips and couldn’t be happier. The knurling on the bar is perfect for what I do in my home gym and the magnetic clips keep the weights from moving. I highly recommend both.
This new iteration of the Texas Power Bar is absolutely fantastic! I just competed with the new cerakote versions of the squat bar, power bar and deadlift bars at the Arizona USPA State Championship last month.... ONE MONTH LATER I own 3 bars from this company! Axle, bench bar and now this.
The new knurling is volcano style, think sharp point with the tip chopped off. This has each mark touch in multiple spots and spreads out the impact. Results, PLENTY of grip but will not scuff up your hands! If you're looking for their sharpest bar, the deadlift bar still has the pointy knurling but this is an amazing daily driver so to speak.
At 44 lbs, and now 29mm, it's exactly what we use in competition. There's generous clearance getting back into the j cups too. This bar was a gift for my wife and daughter, it's purple and we call this bar "Purple Haze"🎵
Was needing to up grade my home gym with new bar . Went with TPB because myself and a few lifting friends opened our own private membership gym and we had all Texas Power Bars int . We mainly trained for power lifting meets . So I was very familiar with the quality of TPB’s . I’m absolutely loving it in my home gym !!
