When I started lifting weights with Olympic bars back in the 1960’s, I noticed that there was hardly any grip. The knurling on these bars was so light when the bars were new, that now years later they were almost slick. The sleeves were held on to the bar with a threaded end cap and the inside collars were held in place with a set screw. Each sleeve consisted of three pieces.

The Goal
was to create a bar that would have and keep a better knurled grip. A bar, whose sleeves wouldn’t slide in to the center. A maintenance free bar.

The Result - The Texas Power Bar

Proudly Made in the USA Since 1980. The shafts are center less ground, demagnetized and oiled to the max before shipping to Texas. Once at our production facility, we machine and then knurl each shaft to create a grip that is still the best in the industry. Texas Power Bars have different finishes available including black zinc and chrome plating. The sleeves are are available raw or chrome plated.

Big tensile strength numbers sound very impressive and we have them but, the proof is on the platform. Hundreds of state, national, international and world powerlifting records have been and continue to be set and broken on the The Texas Power Bar.

Monster Squat Bar

Monster is right, this bar swallows your upper back. Amazing bar and great knurling. Takes some getting used to if you aren’t used to a comp squat bar of this nature. I compete in RPS so they usually have one of these bars or something similar. Practice how you play!

The Monster

I own the Texas Squat Bar already! Love it! But I really needed the Monster Squat Bar because it’s virtually the same specs as the Bar I use in competition. This Bar is a beaut! Everything is perfect about it! It makes training easier for meets when the tools are the same! Love the 32mm shaft! Knurling is amazing sticks to your back and doesn’t move! Length is great! Doesn’t hit the uprights ever!
Thank again!

Exceptional product

The quality craftsmanship from Texas Power Bars is second to none. I have the deadlift and power bars. The monster bar was exactly what I was looking for to improve my squat and bench. Thick and sturdy! A bit longer than I realized but it’s great!

What The Bar! (WTB)

This bar forces proper form on bench, row, and squats. If you're form isn't right, you'll know very quickly using this bar. It is incredibly thick giving a monster grip workout too. Makes my Rogue Ohio bar look and feel like a waste of money. 10/10 This is the best bar I have used in my life, it's better than Eleikos bar or anything Rogue if you're consistently moving 405lbs or heavier on every lift. The bar is so stiff it will not flex at all with 606lbs, barely any flex when loaded with 696lbs

This bar is everything it's advertised to be, and more. If you're a bodybuilder or powerlifter and don't own one of these, any of your competition that does has an instant natural advantage on you.

Best squat bar I’ve used! Zero whip in the bar with 1000+ lbs squats
