When I started lifting weights with Olympic bars back in the 1960’s, Inoticed that there was hardly any grip. The knurling on these bars was so light when the bars were new, that now years later they were almost slick. The sleeves were held on to the bar with a threaded end cap and the inside collars were held in place with a set screw. Each sleeve consisted of three pieces.
The Goalwas to create a bar that would have and keep a better knurled grip.A bar, whose sleeves wouldn’t slide in to the center.A maintenance free bar.
The Result - The Texas Power Bar
Proudly Made in the USA Since 1980.The shafts are center less ground, demagnetized and oiled to the max before shipping to Texas.Once at our production facility, we machine and then knurl each shaft to create a grip that is still the best in the industry.Texas Power Bars have different finishes available including black zinc and chrome plating. The sleeves are are available raw or chrome plated.
Big tensile strength numbers sound very impressive and we have them but, the proof is on the platform.Hundreds of state, national, international and world powerlifting records have been and continue to be set and broken on the The Texas Power Bar.

Love the bar. I get just the right amount of grip from the knurling to grab the bar without it being too aggressive.

Texas deadlift bar
I purchased both the Texas squat bar and Texas deadlift bar so I can train with the same equipment that our Federation uses in comp. I am very impressed with the equipment I received from Texas Power Bar, both bars were black zinc with chrome sleeves, and aggressive knurling as advertised. I will be better prepared come meet time, having used these bars in training.

The best
I ordered the deadlift bar and the new power bar for my home gym. Both bars are amazing. The knurling is very aggressive. The shipping was quick on the company’s end, but FedEx managed to screw that up.

Impressed
I’ve always believed a bar was a bar, just move weight and do work. This bar absolutely proved me wrong. I picked it up in orange cerakote. The 27mm is sooooo much better than the thicker bar I was using. It makes my grip much stronger and I love the aggressive knurling. It’s just all around more pleasurable to use than my other bars. Super glad I gave it a chance. You’ve got a new repeat customer for sure. Highly recommend. It said delivery time would be four to five weeks, my bar arrived in less than a week.
